What’s It About?
British Airways is pushing for a greater profit every year, and this is always at the expense of loyal and dedicate staff.
In the latest round of cost cutting, BA have decided to look at outsourcing our remaining IT services to TATA Consultancy Services (TCS).
TCS will bring over staff from overseas on temporary visas , to learn the work BA staff currently do.
Eventually TCS will move this work overseas, forcing hundreds of BA staff (then transferred to TCS) to either relocate, or to be forced into redundancy.
The GMB believe this is a disgusting way to treat its staff, and in light of several high profile IT system glitches in other companies, poorly timed.
