To all Unite, BALPA and GMB members in British Airways

BA Pensions – Joint Trade Union Newsletter #2
Following the joint Union Reps meeting held on Monday 2 October, we met with BA for the second formal consultation meeting on Tuesday 3 October.
All Unions advised BA of the mandate from their stewards and the unacceptability of the proposals for NAPS and the desire for improvements in BARP.
Given the formal nature of the consultation, we will initially be dealing with these matters.
The joint Unions will present their alternative proposals for keeping NAPS open over the next week.
In addition, questions regarding the proposed closure of BARP were raised, which we are also seeking clarity on.
Clearly, there are further issues regarding BA’s proposals, but these will be dealt with at subsequent meetings.
We are working closely together as Unions to fight these proposals, and would also encourage members to respond directly to BA outlining their concerns via www.bapensionconsultation.com or firstname.lastname@example.org
