Gatwick and The Future of BA

Dear members,

As you may be aware the company has outlined its plans for the “transformation” of Gatwick operations. Naturally our GMB reps at LGW are concerned about these changes as are your reps at Heathrow.

The company recently posted a profit for 2011/2012 resulting in the Employee Reward Plan bonus being paid to staff. This doesn’t look like a company in need of major restructuring or cost saving.

We urge the company to take these changes off the table and work with your union on the future of BA in a constructive manner.

The GMB Branch x54 at Heathrow will offer all the support to our fellow GMB members at Gawtick during this difficult time.

Any further information about future changes will be communicated on this website as and when we get it.

Yours in solidarity
