First of all, thank you to the vast majority of members who took part in the consultative ballots which closed today. By doing so, you have sent a very powerful message to British Airways – that you not only reject their offer but are also prepared, if necessary, to take action to improve it, in every workplace and every area of our collective membership.
The specific results from your membership group will be communicated to you separately by your union.
We remain committed to trying to resolve the Failure to Agree and will remain available to meet should British Airways have further proposals to resolve our collective pay claim.
The ball is now firmly in BA’s court.
Although Unite, BALPA and GMB remain focussed on resolving the Failure to Agree through negotiation, we will also now start planning our next steps in case this is not possible.
